#ToaKidsAtWork: TOA’s 3rd Anniversary and Christmas Party 2016

Christmas in the Philippines

The Philippines is known to have the longest —and most lavish— Christmas celebration in the world. As soon as ‘ber’ months kick in, you start to see a transition to a more festive mood that brings holiday cheer to everyone.

On the first day of September, to be exact, Christmas carols and Jose Mari Chan songs (Filipinos’ official voice of Christmas) can be heard through streets, stores and homes.  The Christmas ambience wanes down around January 6, the Feast of Epiphany or Three Kings.

Being the largest Christian country in Asia, with more than 80% Catholics and 6% Christians, Christmas is considered as the most important holiday by Filipinos. Christmas in the Philippines is a mixture of native Filipino traditions and western culture. Filipinos have Christmas trees, Santa Claus and Christmas carol from western countries and they have their own version of leaving empty stockings and lighting Christmas lantern, called ‘parol’ in Tagalog.

Imagine being in this festive state for almost four months? Nothing but pure joy!

Rockin’ The Christmas Party Theme: KidsAtWork

First, why KidsAtWork? Simply, to give us an excuse to be kids again! All kidding aside, this is to give our hard-working and dedicated staff a day to come together and enjoy the simple things in life.

The continued growth and success of The Outsourced Accountant would not be possible if not for everyone’s commitment to a group effort towards excellence. And, there’s no better way to appreciate these incredible people but to give them a celebration they truly deserve.

Go, Play and Party!

Quite excited for Christmas, we had an early feel of the holiday season as we celebrate our 3rd Anniversary and annual company Christmas party on Friday, December 2nd at Royce Hotel in Clark, Pampanga. With our theme #TOAKidsAtWork, everybody went all out with their costumes as superheroes, cartoon characters, or simply as kids.

Party Highlight: TOA Star Search

Our accountants are not only skilled but also talented!

This year, The Outsourced Accountant launched the highlight of the celebration —the TOA Start Search. Open to all team members, six participating groups joined the competition and they were the IFP Team, Il Divo And La Diva, My Cloud Myx, Collaborate One, 20k, and Music Trio.

While all participants received hot prizes, this year’s champion, the hip-hop group named 20K, received P20,000 (did their name predict their prize?!) Music Trio got the second place and received P15,000, while IFP Team got the third place and P10,000 cash prize.
