On August 4, 2017, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) San Fernando visited TOA and discussed TOA’s 5 Point Engagement Plan.
Highlights of the discussion are the announcement of the PICPA Amnesty Program, which will allow our team members to be in good standing by paying only the current year’s membership due; the memorandum of agreement for the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for in-house training programs that we are offering; and the calendar of events, particularly on the upcoming PICPA Induction and the 17th PICPA Convention that TOA will be participating.
This partnership with PICPA will allow accreditation of TOA courses through the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program allowing accountants earn additional credit units required when renewing their professional licenses.
Moreover, the two parties discussed the memorandum of agreement for the Continuing Professional Development for TOA’s in-house training programs. These programs are focused on three thematic areas:
- Technical skills that would cover all accounting related courses.
- Professional skills that would cover all leadership and development courses.
- Professional values and skills.
The partnership is a testament to the company’s commitment to providing clients the highest level of services by ensuring its professionals are exceptionally suited and highly competent in their respective fields.
By getting accreditation for training courses, TOA empowers its employees, allowing them to add more value to their clients. Also, the partnership solidifies the company’s position as an industry leader and topnotch financing and accounting service provider.
Built for accountants by accountants, TOA puts high value in its employees’ development. Our training courses are designed to help accountants grow and reach their full potential. This is exactly why working with TOA accountants can be the best business decision a firm—your firm—can make.
Present in the discussion were TOA Country Manager Alex Macario together with Head of Training Salvador Nino Velasco and Head of Client Experience Jude Guintu welcomed the PICPA delegation, headed by Mr. Marvin Mallari, the current Chapter President, along with other officers.
